Global mega-brand Gucci celebrated the opening of its first New Zealand store on Wednesday night with a glittering affair. Starting with pre-drinks at the swanky Queen St store and ending at the old Roxy Theatre, in the neighbouring Imperial Building, with a runway show that had the well-heeled guests salivating over some of the luxury label’s freshest new designs. be further continued
The night ended with free-flowing champagne and many a promise to return, credit card in tow.
Low point: The lengthy queuing/ticketing process that saw guests standing in a line from the store to the secret location upstairs.
High point: The light at the end of the tunnel - a great spot with a great bar and more than enough space for a runway. Well worth the wait, then
